Welcome to RCA

A recovering couple watches the sunrise together

Our Story of Hope

Many of us came to RCA seeking something more in our relationships.

Some of us were in crisis, others simply felt disconnected, and many of us didn’t know exactly what we needed – we just knew we wanted a more loving and intimate partnership.

In RCA we discovered couples like ourselves, sharing openly about their struggles and victories.

Through working the Twelve Steps together and attending meetings, many of us have found new ways to communicate, to trust, and to grow closer.

We’ve learned that neither our loves nor our relationships have to be perfect to be healing and fulfilling.

Who We Are

We are couples from every walk of life. The word “couple” includes any two people in a committed relationship, regardless of legal status or sexual orientation. What unites us is our desire to remain committed to each other and to restore healthy communication, caring, and greater intimacy.

What We’ve Found in RCA

We discovered a safe space where we can:

  • Share honestly in front of our partners and other couples
  • Learn to listen with open hearts
  • Work the Twelve Steps together
  • Build deeper trust and intimacy
  • Find support from others who understand

As we attend meetings together, we came to understand our coupleship as a distinct entity with a life of its own – like a three-legged stool that needs all three parts (both partners’ individual recovery and our couple recovery) to stand strong.

Couples in a Recovering Couples Anonymous MeetingYou’re Welcome Here

The only requirement for membership is a desire to remain committed to each other and to work on building a healthy relationship. There are no dues or fees. We’re simply couples supporting couples.

Many of us felt nervous or uncertain before our first meeting. What we found was acceptance, understanding, and hope. We invite you to join us, listen to our stories, and discover if RCA might help your relationship too.

“We believe that to be good couples we must be true to ourselves, to our coupleships, and to our principles.”
